چکیده
Osmoregulation is a physiological adjustment mechanism of fish to environmental conditions. Fish growth performance will reduce when large amount energy redirected for the osmoregulation process. The purpose this study was determine osmotic work level (OWL), pattern, condition factor (K), gonad maturity stages (GMS) and analyze relationship between OWL with GMS tilapia collected from three floating net cages in Cengklik reservoir, Boyolali. Samples were during March – April 2022 followed by some allometric measurements regression analyses. at ranged 4 10 mOsm/L H2O; they performed hyperosmotic pattern. male female were1,86±0,21 1,89±0,18. both dominated IV fecundity 9408±2092.54 eggs. did not reveal significant effect on factors or (p>0.05). Pearson correlation test showed weak (r = 0,204) -0,001). Therefore, uses less produce good because it has more growth, as indicated high (K>1) domination mature gonads.Keywords: Condition Factor; Gonad Maturity; Cages; Oreochromis niloticus;

Tol2-mediated transgenesis in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).
The Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is an important species in aquaculture and an excellent model system for laboratory studies. Functional genetic analysis using this species has been difficult because existing methods for producing transgenics are inefficient. Here we show that the Tol2 transposon system can be used to create transgenic tilapia with high efficiency. We constructed a line...
متن کاملEctoparasites of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in cage farming in a hydroelectric reservoir in Brazil.
For this study, we performed a parasitological analysis of cage-cultured Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) from the Água Vermelha Reservoir, Southeastern Brazil, and verified relationships with limnological data, seasonality, and fish growth phase. From March 2010 to March 2011, sixty-three specimens of O. niloticus in three growth phases (i.e., initial, intermediate, and final) were collect...
متن کاملLength-Weight Relationships, Condition Factor and Sex-Ratio of Nile Tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus in Wadi Hanifah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
The studies on length-weight relationships (LWR), condition factors (K) and sex-ratio of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus in Wadi Hanifah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was conducted from September 2011 to August 2012. A total of 575 specimens were collected from different sample stations using different types of net and by angling. The fishes were ranged from 76-273 mm, 69-261 mm and 69-273 mm in le...
متن کاملVisual communication stimulates reproduction in Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (L.).
Reproductive fish behavior is affected by male-female interactions that stimulate physiological responses such as hormonal release and gonad development. During male-female interactions, visual and chemical communication can modulate fish reproduction. The aim of the present study was to test the effect of visual and chemical male-female interaction on the gonad development and reproductive beh...
متن کاملBehaviours Associated with Acoustic Communication in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)
BACKGROUND Sound production is widespread among fishes and accompanies many social interactions. The literature reports twenty-nine cichlid species known to produce sounds during aggressive and courtship displays, but the precise range in behavioural contexts is unclear. This study aims to describe the various Oreochromis niloticus behaviours that are associated with sound production in order t...
